
Bringing Fun, Movement & Culture into Schools
Program Overview
The Mob 2 Mob School Program is designed to deliver fun, engaging, and culturally relevant physical activity sessions that align with the school curriculum while increasing physical activity, teamwork, and cultural connection among First Nations student.
The program is tailored to suit the abilities of the Mob and the resources available in each school community, ensuring every student has an opportunity to participate, learn, and enjoy movement in a way that celebrates culture and community.
Program Components
1. TRIMOB Olympics
-Swim, bike, and run challenges (adapted for all skill levels)
-Traditional Indigenous Games, celebrating cultural sporting traditions
-Relay races and team events to promote teamwork and connection
2. Teamwork & Leadership Activities
-Group challenges that encourage cooperation and communication
-Exercises designed to build resilience, confidence, and problem-solving skills
3. Movement, Physical Fitness Sessions & connection to emotional wellbeing
-Fun, high-energy activities designed to increase physical activity levels
-Structured exercises to enhance coordination, strength, and endurance
4. Cultural Connection & Storytelling
-Activities that incorporate First Nations storytelling through movement
-Discussions on the importance of physical activity in cultural traditions.
Long term
TRIMOB's goal is to have this program embedded in various regions across Australia and delivered to our young mob in partnership with schools, universities and other local organisations and will be intertwined with our Mob 2 Mob community programs. The aim will to have TRIMOB working with school delivering our Mob 2 Mob program weekly to enhance the positive impacts to health and wellbeing of our Mob.
