Koorinya had never particpated in triathlon prior to the IRONMOB program, infact she had never done an open water swim. Koorinya was literally thrown in the deep end when she particpated in her first triathlon at NSW Club Champs in May of 2023. Less than 12months later she was running down the finish chute at IRONMAN Australia carrying the Aboriginal Flag.
