In 2011, TRIMOB Founder Nat Heath completed his first triathlon just eight months after Guillain-Barré Syndrome left him with paralysis through his body.
Defying medical expectations, he went on to compete in multiple IRONMAN races, including the Hawaiian IRONMAN, but noticed the lack of First Nations representation in triathlon.
By 2019, interest among Mob in triathlon was growing, and in 2020, Nat founded TRIMOB, starting with an Instagram page and a custom triathlon race kit to encourage and represent First Nations athletes. Today, TRIMOB is a registered Australian charity (DGR endorsed) and an official triathlon club with AusTriathlon.
TRIMOB or TriMob is a company limited by guarantee and registered Public Benevolent Institution (PBI) charity with the Australian Charities & Not-For-Profits Commission (ACNC).
TRIMOB is also internationally recognised and has been validated by Charities Aid Foundation (CAF)
TRIMOB is also a recognised and registered triathlon club under AusTriathlon. It is only one of two clubs that are nationally based clubs meaning that it covers all states & territories, so people can join no matter where they live.
TRIMOB is a Mob powered organisation who centres community & culture and is igniting the fire in Mob to improve their health & wellbeing through swim, bike & run

BY THE MOB
Our organisation is always Mob led and driven. All programs are developed and delivered by First Nations people and centres our culture & community.
UP THE MOB
...Is our mantra and is the very essence of what we are as as a Mob led organisation. “Up The Mob” is our way that we celebrate the Mob out on course and is a declaration that we as Mob are here, we are ‘deadly and a force to be reckoned with.
To build an organisation that is highly regarded and establish long-term industry & community partnerships to ensure our sustainability
To provide Mob led approaches to swim, bike & run that increases participation of the Mob
Build awareness of TriMob and its impact and showcase the strengths of the Mob, advocate for Mob led approaches & systemic changes to reduce barriers
For too long, First Nations representation in endurance sports like triathlon has been almost invisible. TRIMOB is changing this by providing access, support, and pathways for our Mob to take on some of the toughest endurance challenges in the world. Through programs like IRONMOB, we have already the number of First Nations athletes who have completed an IRONMAN—proving that when barriers are removed, the Mob rise.
In reviewing that data of IRONMOB athletes we have seen physical health improvements increase between 4-7 times and a reduction in resting heart rate and increase in Vo2 max proving that with the right support, guidance, and determination, transformation is possible. Our training approach ensures gradual, sustainable improvements, leading to long-term health benefits. However it's the social and cultural wellbeing impacts that we know that play a pivotal role in our Mob's long term health. TRIMOB is about community and team and bringing each other up. After the Mob have come together they leave with their cup full and more pride in who they are and what they are apart of.
